“I love the Bible and thank God for it. What a blessing to be able to read Scripture in the original languages, and what a service the Daily Doses provide! Stay in the text. Do whatever it takes. Walk with God. Rightly divide the word.”
— Dr. James Hamilton (@DrJimHamilton)
"Pragmatism is a philosophical tradition that evaluates theories, beliefs, and concepts by their practical consequences, usefulness, and success in real-world application."
Pragmatism threatens to be the new liberalism. People won't overtly deny the resurrection of Jesus, but their focus on the appearance of worldly success—number of people, cash in the coffers, beautiful buildings—crowds out the big truths of the faith. Conversion, doctrine, etc.
What does it mean that the Lord saves his people "for his own sake"? How can we trust him? How can we know that he loves us?
Isaiah 43 raises some soul-stirring questions. In this episode of Bible Talk, @_alexduke_, @DrJimHamilton, and Sam discuss.

The Bible is God’s word. The access we have to the original languages, the opportunity we have to study them, that we might study God’s word, is astonishing. God has been unspeakably good to us.

Books educate, and education enables the reading of great books. Education required to read this book, and then this book further educates, enabling worship:
