GPCUK extends solidarity with all nursing colleagues taking strike action today, who feel they have been left with no choice in their pursuit of fair pay, safe levels of staffing, and a safe NHS. We stand alongside you.
There’s never been a more important time for GPs and hospital consultants to work together.
The letter below to consultants at Bart’s Health from group CMO @ChesserAlistair is a great example of leadership and top quality communication. Well done Alistair.
Strong motion passed with very substantial support @TheBMA#ARM2021, calling for zero tolerance policies against racism in the NHS. No patient has a right to choose a clinician based on their ethnicity. Clear pathways are needed for when care shd be withheld from racist patients.
2/ We support the letter that GPs wrote to @BMAScotland urging them to work with @Scotgov to tell the public about the pressures on #Generalpractice & using services appropriately. GLMC will continue to work with @NHSGGC and SGPC to support general practices
1/ Glasgow #Generalpractice under pressure and working harder than ever b4 dealing with patients’ needs. GPs ARE seeing patients face to face when assessed as clinically necessary. Negative and unfair attacks on GPs need to stop NOW! #SupportYourSurgery
Staff working in general practice tell us that despite quiet waiting rooms, they are busier than ever. This is our piece @NeylonKerri @NHSGGC @susiehanson @harcusalan
