@Peter_Bukowski Reading last years draft analysis, Savion Williams was used quite a bit as a runner. Could he be the backup to Lloyd if he stays injured?
@RoryGreenfield Despite this season being such a disappointment, I feel a lot of optimism looking at the squad. It should be a great foundation for a top team. But with Hugo out and w Isaks injury record, we are very thin up top.
@Peter_Bukowski we will know if MP, TK etc are as good, we know more about Watson and hopefully a CB or 2 are not rookies anymore. Treat this draft as a setup for next year (a CB, WR, OL depth) and go all in next year w more draft capital and cap space?
@Peter_Bukowski Is it wrong to think that this year is bonus year re SB and next year is the real deal? We will miss some of our best players at the start and there is not a given that they will be back as good. CBs are bad as rookies. Next year 1/2
@Peter_Bukowski Agree, those two picks does not feel great (but the rest of the draft was awsome). Have you, with hindsight, thought of who should have been drafted instead (that was drafted in the same range)? Would love to have that as a topic for locked on
@RoryGreenfield Could there be a scenario where we don’t play with wingers? Maybe Slots plan is to play a 4-4-2 (diamond?) with Ekitike and Isak up top? Then we don’t need expensive wingers and could strengthen elsewhere
