@frecklebomb Tbh this was cute when it came out but looking back now it feels like a tragedy against the future that was truly meant to be… the flashback to the All Might cards…
@grimoireapolog1@atticwifes I was thinking the exact same thing. A thesis on it could slap you in the face with an absurd title but then suck you in because there’s actually SO much interesting research to be done here
@DKGJKA Well damn if you’re bi, not upset about the treatment of Himiko’s character, and calling iz/ch “canon straight,” idk what to tell you. Like I commented here because I’m interested in discussing media censorship and I was curious about my fellow trans people over in Japan.
TLDR: I don't believe Horikoshi is to blame for the ending.
Anyone else remember how Steven Universe's pacing changed drastically in the final season? Like right after Garnet's wedding all the sudden the overarching villains since season 1 decide to change their ways
so if hori writes something good it was an accident and unplanned but if he writes something bad it was planned all along?? like yall im mad as hell about 431 too but can we wrap it up pls esp after that afterword drawing that line too 😭 retire the “accident” narrative
@kacchakiki Thank youuu! Some people are getting a little too comfortable painting everything in a totally different light suddenly and it’s starting to piss me off. You don’t have to gaslight yourself into thinking the whole series is trash or an accident just to cope with 431…
@EriCheri3 Fr I keep thinking about it like the “bad ending” in a choice based video game. It’s not just the bonus chapter that’s messed up; things had to be let go along the way to get here. Izuku’s honesty time with Kacchan, saving villains/true victory, society changing, OFA even..
@StandUpIngenium They wouldn’t be satisfied with this ending at all. They’d say it’s not enough. They’d criticize its other faults more. And people who don’t follow the manga wouldn’t give a shit and might even call it boring
@StandUpIngenium THEY also felt it, the “oh shit, that’s actually so gay…” feeling. And man, the straights are so oblivious, it really takes a lot to make them notice. And that awareness spread in waves so strongly that it’s even in people who haven’t read/watched. Otherwise-
