The real learning loss from the pandemic was social and emotional skills. Such as learning to share, take turns, negotiate, & resolve conflicts through play as well as self-regulation & impulse control. Students need unstructured play, recess, & physical activity more than ever.

To address the teacher shortage issue, we must address the teacher respect issue in our country. We must stop normalizing providing teachers with inadequate resources to be successful.
I try to listen to anyone with any opposing point of view. Otherwise, I'm only confirming my biases. Open dialogue is critical to democracy. Nobel laureate Dr. Richard Feynman said, "I would rather have questions that can’t be answered than answers that can’t be questioned.” Wow.
