Visiting my dad at the hospital and I am continually mistaken for medical staff. This begs the question, do medical professionals have a look? Or is it just because I’m relatively young and in a hospital?

Cancer is terrible.

Last year, my dad helped take my kitchen down to 2x4s and build it back up again.

Last week, he offered to come over to fix my running toilet.

Today I cleaned blood from his mouth that he coughed up and spoon fed him apple sauce.

The absolute worst part about my dad being in the ICU…? Watching our dog search for him in every inch of our house. I wish I could explain to him that he wants to come home but he’s not coming home 😭
