RIP #AfrikaBambaataa Planet Rock was the vinyl I trained myself to properly mix. I mean, that song was ahead of its time. Still feel like it!
"Rock, rock to the Planet Rock, don't stop"
<- Owner of the Collector's Edition, #Maschine Studio, Kontrol S61 & Audio 6 interface. Yes, I like @NI_News products a lot. However, when N.I tries to trick us, I must call them out too! Considering the long wait for an upgrade, this v3 Maschine upgrade is this: UNDERWHELMING!
Man, a couple of days late, but I still got to show love to #FatmanScoop. R.I.P to an iconic personality and hypeman, with a voice that can't be duplicated. Keep the party going on the other side!
OK! It was good for a little bit, but now it's quick firing of a bunch of words and whoever can find dirt! Since the essence of MUSIC itself is lost and irrelevant, then they might as well release those tracks straight as acapellas.
Woah! Hopefully, this goes to industry-wide level. This is a beautiful initiative by #Bitwig and #Presonus to allow their programs to share projects. Obviously since I'm #Ableton gang-gang then I can't wait to see Live on the list of supporting DAWs.

Woah! I did NOT see this coming!
#Avid has gone #Ableton on us. ๐ณ #ProTools introduces Sketch (aka Ableton Clips), available in the 2023.9 update. This one is probably going to have a lot of talk about it. Yup! Definite!
Is the new #Kontrol S-Series from #nativeinstruments really an upgrade? The Aftertouch feature seems great. But that's about it though. The original S has about everything already. Am I bugging or there's no more Maschine support?๐ค Well, I'm holding on to my original S61.
@slim637@truegrit_eh@rlpage_insp@NiaLong As far as "going gold and platinum", that's moving the goal post where the debate leaves my original reply pointing to this current generation inheriting what's been embedded in the culture decades ago. Platinum or not, Hip-Hop has long been keeping the word alive.
@slim637@truegrit_eh@rlpage_insp@NiaLong Yes, u r right, it wasn't "prominent". Rather, the word started to appear on Hip-Hop records though. I'm thinking Schoolly D and Ice T. Ha, I wish I was young. No, I wasn't even on the US shore yet when those songs were coming out. However, I did get to listen to them a bit after
@slimlova637 @truegrit_eh@rlpage_insp@NiaLong "young generation"? The n-word been prominent in Hip-Hop since the mid-80s. We can also remember how N.W.A mass-marketed that word to the world. Can't we? Hell! In '98, Juvenile alone, used the word 217 times in '400 Degreez'. This "young generation" has simply inherited the mess
