Just seen Haunted House @EleanorMorton. It's a very funny show about ghosts, history and Edinburgh, but there's also a powerful message about sexism and sexual assault at the Fringe (something that I feel extremely strongly about). Thoroughly recommended
Sometimes I try to explain @edfringe to people and it's hard, so let me tell you some things that have happened in the last few days. The context you need is that I am responsible for the in-house company for a venue chain, as well as operating my own venue, The Speakeasy.
We have completely sold out two of our three in-house shows at The Speakeasy, yet we are struggling to get any people at all through the door for some of the other shows

I love portraits of women holding books! This sixteenth-century portrait of an unknown lady was painted by François Clouet. It measures only 8.7 x 8.8 cm and is housed at the The Städel Museum in Frankfurt.
🌸We love this #HorrocksesFashions pink rose textile sample from 1954, which includes a rose pattern, a pencil sketch of a dress and shawl, and a black and white fashion photograph.
