Delighted to share my new paper, “At the Meniscus of Self-Understanding: Rethinking the Examined Life in Times of AI”. I explore how some adolescents use conversational AI as an external “skin”, offering surface coherence while flattening psychic depth.

A sobering conclusion from this new review of psychotherapy outcomes: “Although most psychotherapies lead to better outcomes compared to control conditions, response rates are modest” https://t.co/swlEaDzKgc
We are thrilled that the second edition of the DIT book is finally out with updates and several new chapters. We are thrilled to be joined by Deborah Abrahams and Patrick Luyten as co-authors @AFNCCF

@Contactalex1 The definition of pornography in British law is a “sexually explicit representation that has the function or intention of sexually arousing its audience”. This definition is unhelpfully broad, but it is at least non-evaluative…
The Online Safety Act is now law in the UK. The government is currently undertaking an important review of the effects of pornography. In this paper I outline why as clinicians we should routinely ask patients about their consumption of online pornography https://t.co/NNZRAvmsOI
@manasikumar229@Mark_Solms Yes, that is a real shame but I am now told that there is a strong possibility that it will be recorded and that it be possible to purchase the recording. I will post further details as and when they are available.
