Remembering Adv. G. N. Dar as a man of exceptional character, soft spoken, humble, and dignified. I still remember him after the NC's 2002 election loss in Kulgam. The very next day, I saw him in his black advocate's coat, heading to the High Court with the same calm resolve and grace. That image of the gentleman in the long black coat has stayed with me ever since. May his soul rest in peace.

Your father was one of the finest leaders I have ever known. I had the privilege of knowing him even before 1996, when he was in good health, and I also met him after the 1996 elections, when he was suffering from diabetes and had lost a lot of weight. My father shared a long association with him, both official and as a close friend. Uncle would often visit our home, and we always admired his warmth, humility, and leadership. He will be remembered with great respect and affection.
