Polls often reflect less of what’s truly happening and more of what’s being reported—and how it’s being reported. Some media outlets thrive on keeping their audiences in a constant state of agitation. It's what sells their brand. Sad.

Polls are merely indicators of how effective the media and its chosen message are. They also reflect the extent to which the media influences those being polled. In a courtroom, such opinions would be considered hearsay—in other words, unreliable and essentially worthless. The media controls polls.
