THIS CLAUDE CODE HACK LETS YOU BUILD APPLE-STYLE SCROLL ANIMATIONS THAT ACTUALLY FEEL PREMIUM
If you’re using Claude Code to build websites, you can now create those smooth product scroll animations (exploding keyboards, floating headphones, architectural reveals) in minutes instead of spending hours fighting the browser
Here’s what the workflow does:
> FFmpeg extracts clean frames from your video and converts them into optimized WebP images
> Canvas (instead of ) + preloaded frame batches for instant frame switching with perfect precision and zero flicker
> A tall sticky container + scroll progress calculations (the user controls the pace while the animation stays perfectly responsive)
> Content overlays, phased reveals, subtle rotations, radial masks, and glassmorphism effects - all tied directly to scroll position
> One precise Claude Code prompt turns your MP4 plus a start and end frame into production-ready code
And if you’re a designer, make sure to check out the article I linked below
You’ll discover the essential tool stack every designer should have

HERMES + ELEVENLABS TURNED A $3,000/MO ANSWERING SERVICE INTO A ~$145/MO AI THAT NEVER MISSES A CALL.
A missed call after 6pm isn't a missed call.
It's a customer booking with your competitor.
Most businesses pay $2,000-$4,000/mo for a human to make sure that doesn't happen.
Last week I gave my Hermes Agent a real phone number instead.
It answers every call, 24/7, in a natural ElevenLabs voice.
It doesn't read a script - it checks the calendar, recognizes the caller, and books the appointment mid-call.
The math on one dental clinic:
→ Old answering service: ~$2,400/mo (messages only) → Hermes + ElevenLabs: ~$145/mo (books in real time) → ~$27,000/yr saved per location
And it's strictly better - it books at 11pm instead of leaving a voicemail.
The setup is one afternoon:
→ Turn on Hermes' API server
→ Tunnel it with ngrok
→ Point an ElevenLabs agent at it (Custom LLM)
→ Attach a Twilio number
Reply "ElevenLabs" + RT, and I’ll send you the detailed playbook via DM

Claude - Knife crime rose 54% between 2016 and 2023, from 9,086 incidents to 14,000 , though it has since started falling – knife-enabled crime levels to August 2025 were lower than 2024
•Theft from person roughly doubled, from ~53,000 to over 103,000 per year – this is the phone-snatching and pickpocketing surge
•Shoplifting rose to over 95,240 in 2024/25, compared to around 46,000 per year before COVID
•Sexual offences reporting rose substantially (mix of more reporting and more offences – hard to separate)
•Around 50,000 more violent crimes in 2024/25 than in 2015/16 , though some of this reflects better recording
The recording effect matters: HMICFRS independently assessed police-recorded crime in the UK as having risen from 80.5% in 2014 to 94.8% – meaning increases in crime in London may be partly due to improvements in recording rather than an actual increase in crime experienced .
Housing: the clearest disappointment
This is where Khan’s record is weakest on his own terms. He pledged ambitious housing targets – delivery has consistently fallen short. He hasn’t yet succeeded in getting enough homes built . London housing affordability has worsened over the decade. Rent rose dramatically. Average house price to earnings ratio in London is now extreme. He’ll cite planning powers held by central government and boroughs – fair, but not a complete defense.
Transport: probably his strongest record
•Elizabeth Line (Crossrail) opened in 2022 – now London’s busiest rail line, transformative for east-west travel
•Hopper bus fare introduced (unlimited bus changes within an hour)
•Night Tube expanded
•Cycle lane network significantly expanded (controversial, but real)
•The Tube and bus network operationally weaker on reliability than in 2016, partly due to government funding squeezes during COVID
Air quality and ULEZ: high-conviction, high-cost
•Ultra Low Emission Zone introduced (2019), expanded (2021), and London-wide (2023)
•Measurable improvement in NO2 levels in central and inner London
•Significant political cost in outer London – polarised the city, contributed to Tory gains in 2024 general election in outer London seats
•His clearest signature policy: some of the strongest air-quality regulations in any city
Policing and the Met
The Casey Review (2023) found the Met institutionally racist, misogynist, and homophobic. Trust in the Met is at historic lows. Khan didn’t cause this – the Sarah Everard case, Stephen Port investigation failures, Daniel Morgan, and decades of structural problems predate him – but he holds the Police and Crime Commissioner role and the Commissioner answers to him. The replacement of Cressida Dick with Mark Rowley happened under his watch. Officer numbers fluctuated with central government funding.
Cultural and political profile
He became a global figure – pro-Remain voice during Brexit, public clash with Trump in both terms, climate leadership through C40 cities, knighthood in 2024. Critics see this as distraction from London-specific delivery; supporters see it as London punching at its weight as a global city. Both views are defensible.
The honest verdict
Things genuinely got better: homicide, youth violence, violent crime with injury, transport infrastructure, air quality.
Things genuinely got worse: housing affordability, theft from person, shoplifting, perceptions of street safety, Met trust.
Things that are mixed or driven by external forces: overall economy, knife crime (rose then fell), retail vitality, post-COVID central London.
