Colleges are cutting tuition as families increasingly question whether a four-year degree is worth the price.
Emory & Henry University is dropping its published undergraduate tuition to $19,900 this academic year, roughly half its previous $40,000 sticker price. The school says the change is designed to better reflect what students actually pay after aid.
And it is not alone. The University of Tulsa plans to cut tuition and fees from $54,000 to $25,000, while Carroll College is lowering its list price by 40% for fall 2027.
The price resets come as colleges face more competition for students and growing skepticism about taking on debt for a degree.
