we hate Karens too much.

Karens are the immune system of civilization. They enforce the rule of law, police social norms, and demand order. There’s a reason Anti-Karen propaganda is pushed by people who have no respect for any of those things.

Like during the Summer of Floyd, “Karen” became synonymous with “woman who doesn’t want her neighbourhood to go to hell.”

Can some Karens go too far? Sure. But I perceive these incidents more as a desperate, frightened bark against a society they see crumbling around them.

Can some Karens enforce shoddy rules? Yes, because they are the foot soldiers of the rule of order. They don’t care what rules those are or what order is calling the shots. They will enforce them. Like a white blood cell attacks any perceived threat to the body, it can be confused as to what is and is not a threat, and sometimes attack itself in that confusion.

A healthy society with an army of Karens as the foot soldiers for morality is unstoppable.
