Whatever remains of #dropp (assumed: tech, HQ staff, CEOs), will be bought/taken over by another gorillas-esque company Arive. The warehouse workers are left jobless while Arive publishes listings for the exact same position.... #unionbusting or stupidity?

In summary: We were told to keep on working now but to find a new job as of Feb. 1. Most haven’t worked for a year in Germany yet.

Dropp is bankrupt! Such a nice Christmas surprise for the workers that have been informed today that their salaries will be paid out late and by the state instead of the company. Don’t worry: they also told us to stay calm and keep working as usual. ;)

As of yesterday evening, there are two more Workers’ Councils elected in Gorillas Berlin! It’s so beautiful to see workers coming together, and to see management totally powerless to stop it 😍 🏆 🎖

Today, a Workers’ Council member was removed by police from the Friedenau warehouse. The management there and elsewhere in the company are increasingly desperate to avoid their actions being monitored. With a series of harassment allegations across warehouses, it’s no wonder why.

Today at work: 1. Worker on sick leave gets called in for a meeting in person. 2. Manager doesn’t show up. 3. Manager calls the worker after half an hour and talks on the phone 5 mins. 4. Manager refuses to apologize for calling in the worker. We’re a family at dropp! 💚

Tmr (24.11.2022) at 12.00 (rm. 513) is the court case of a colleague who was unlawfully fired about 10 months ago and who then was elected to the #woco.

Without the #woco's approval, instead of calling for a conciliation committee meeting for the following day, mgmt went ahead and unilaterally made the shifts official for the following week... which again did not correspond with the last draft that the #woco received.

Last Monday we were in court to put pressure on the company to accept our right to #mitbestimmung for scheduling. We are now in arbitration (#Einigungsstelle).

Negotiations so far have not heeded any results. The last deadline the #woco received was of less than 4 hours on a friday evening. This completely disrespects the working hours of the council members who are already doing overtime regularly.
