Dropouts in Government and Non-Government secondary schools in Tanzania by Reason and Sex,2015. And percentage rate of dropouts with enrollment by region shows that Rukwa and Mtwara have highest while Dar es Salaam has lowest rate. (BEST2016)

Dropouts in secondary schools is higher in lower level as compared to higher level. Form 2 has the highest number of dropouts (34%). The major reason for dropout is truancy (78.1%) followed pregnancy and the least is death. (Source: BEST2016)
