Statins do not offer mortality benefit in those with a good triglyceride to HDL ratio (low trigs, high HDL). This is irrespective of LDL levels.
While this paper is sure to spark debate, we (the authors) believe it to be sound. @LDLSkeptic@BenBikmanPhD

They injected rats with rocket fuel (a chemical known to cause bowel cancer)… then blamed the steak. The rats still didn’t get cancer. If anything, the red meat looked protective. Ep 3 of The Dr Paul Mason Show is live. Spotify: https://t.co/nreFUeIZ1Z

Any idea what these black spots are?

Out of the hundreds of papers I read last year, this one could be the most GAME-CHANGING! Demodex mites (cousins to dust mites) likely fuel issues like rosacea, acne, dry eyes, and even chronic nasal congestion. Infestation with these mites, most commonly on the face, is extremely common. But here's the the most important finding - applying plain Vaseline to your eyelids at night could be a SAFE, CHEAP and EFFECTIVE fix, trapping these critters and slashing their numbers. Doctor's, consider a 28-day Vaseline trial for your patients. If effective, this simple hack might save billions on indefinite treatments. https://t.co/q8XZ05EZJt
Still struggling with itchy eyes, rosacea, dermatitis, or nasal stuffiness caused by those pesky demodex mites? Suffocate them safely with Vaseline on your eyelids! FREE step-by-step instructions could change your life.

@BioLayne Have you finally put your big boy pants on. Are you now ready for our long agreed debate? Otherwise I'm genuinely curious at what vacuous excuse you will come up with next.
@ben3bil @2025__truth I speculate that any die-off which occurs with vaseline is outside the hair follicles, and therefore less likely to trigger inflammation.
@trevorsmithmd I just check a container. Didn't see it. Do you have any references that vaseline is contraindicated on the eyelids? No matter if you don't. I just like to separate opinion from fact.
@dementiamites This is very thought provoking. One issue I see is that sebum composition is heavily influenced by diet, which is also a risk factor for parkinson's. Whether the relationship is associational or causal remains to be determined.
Not only has this been conclusively and consistently shown in the literature, we have known this for a long time. For reference, this was published in Nature in 1964 with the title - "Changes in the Fatty Acid Composition of Sebum associated with High Carbohydrate Diets". I therefore don't think my claim that diet influences sebum composition to be a 'scam'. https://t.co/zEbQth2o2x
