We are doing a torn paper garden activity after learning about gardening this week. They are including pollinators we have previously read about along with fruits, veggies and flowers. They are also including different water sources we have learned about. 🐛

Friday was a great day with future teachers from Junior Achievement on campus to teach our students about individual choices, money, the importance of saving and giving, and the value of work. @swisd

I had two future teachers in my classroom and they asked me for any final advice I had for them. I told them “give yourself grace, always, especially when it gets hard.” I wish these two nothing but the best in their journey.

1st grade started their gardening journey 🪴 with Gardopia gardens! They worked to answer the question "what is a garden?" Every week they will explore a new topic in our Discovery Garden! @swisd

Our first graders are learning the importance about dairy cows! We adopted a calf named Diamond at the beginning of the year to watch grow and learn from her. Of COURSE I needed cow print attire 🐄❤️
