@Sam_in_Cam@Chisholm4Trail@jerryalderson@GNRailUK@CamBioCampus Hang on. Wait a cotton-picking minute. Is this graph saying that no one from Great Shelford will use Cambridge South station? That the people who use Cambridge South will magically stop at an entirely arbitrary political boundary?
@afneil For someone who prides himself on critical thinking, you've got a massive blind spot when it comes to physics.
FWIW, the vibrational modes of the carbon dioxide molecule don't care what anyone thinks. They'll just keep doing their thing.
@_imey@theiaincameron Do yourself a favour and go and work out how much energy is required to raise that volume of air by just 1C. Hint: it’s significantly higher than flaring off some gas.
Hint:
Energy = mass x specific heat capacity x change in temperature
@TimesRadio@CalumAM Not only are renewables good for the air we breathe, they also provide energy independence, freeing us from the consequences of whatever war some lunatic has recently decided to kick off.
@theiaincameron Is the answer partly due to the Tummel Hydro scheme, which diverted water from some other watersheds into the Tummel? This would have raised its discharge above the natural baseline.

@YourAnonNews You can agree with the tax position - that's your choice.
But the spending choice is poor. All it will create is inflation. You have to spend the money in a way that creates value and productivity.
Like healthcare, or infrastructure.
