A case for Sept 21

A well behaved, responsible and educated employee in a firm started behaving impulsively after his retirement. He put all of his retirement fund in market, started trading and lost most of his money, in spite of opposition from his family members.

Currently there is no cure or disease modifying treatment for FTD and it’s an active focus of research.
Treatment is mainly supportive with symptomatic therapy, speech therapy and cognitive training.

@NeuroJediMaster This patient didn’t have MND features. Genetics positive only in 20% cases, but helpful in research and counselling in familial cases.

@aditya_gan3500 Observe left frontal atrophy. Of course left temporal >perisylvian >frontal atrophy here, but behavioural changes are the ones which trouble family members and bring them to doctors notice. He has combination of behavioural and language syndromes.
