Saw the PG admission list today. Same branch, same institute Rank ~754 (General) vs ~95,000 (reserved). This isn’t social justice anymore, it’s a serious blow to meritocracy and patient trust.

If a person gets into MBBS through reservation and, even after 5½ years of medical training, still can’t secure basic qualifying marks for PG, forcing PG cutoffs to be pushed down to minus 40, then reservation at the MBBS level was pointless. It didn’t empower anyone.

A lot of people think that when Indian modern medicine (allopathy) doctors question alternative medicines, we are being disrespectful to Hinduism.

That’s not true at all.

Most modern medicine doctors are religious. I myself keep a Goddess Saraswati idol on my desk and bookshelf.

Ayurveda is not religion; it represents a golden but older chapter of our civilization. Charak and Sushrut were great physicians of their time. But science evolves, and if any Ayurvedic or alternative medicine practices can be proven effective, modern medicine will embrace them.

But spurious claims — like alternative medicine doesn’t cause side effects or it treats the root cause of illness — will be called out.

What is common between followers of Allopathy and haters of Allopathy?

Both trust only Allopathic medicines when their or their loved one’s life is at stake. The rest of the Twitter discussion is just hypocrisy.

10days ago at 8.48 am I got a call from my sister while I was sitting in OT and patient was being shifted to OT table. 1st call and I could here only she in calling my name and disconnected. Normally I don't pick calls in morning when inside OT but that day I picked.

A Nation where the Doctors are forced to shift abroad for their Life safety

A Nation where the govt fails to even provide security during duty and yet fails to pay humanly making them work like bonded slaves
A Nation where the Media houses are sold and hide such cases

In Such a Great Nation Despite all these incidents we are told to be proud to become “4th Largest Economy” !

Our politicians will never do anything to fix the shortages in the hospitals. But are always eager to misbehave with doctors to gain brownie points.
I hope Goa medicos takes a strong stance in dealing with this menace.

It is high time NBE makes NEET PG a transparent exam
The following steps should be taken
1. Release a list of 19 standard textbooks to be used as final references. The student and examiner should both
Know which books are the final authority
2. The answer key should be released with reference from these textbooks( reference marked to counter controversial questions)
3. Examiner reference and why he/she chose it shall be final. ( NBE deserves it)
4. Let the students have a clear picture

I know this can be challenged by many, but this is the only way to give this exam some transparency

Every time I hear the same thing: the answer key is not released because it can be challenged.
We live in a democracy. Challenges and debates are a part of our improvement process
NBE can't hide behind this excuse anymore
