#SkillEducation, as envisaged in NEP 2020 and NCF (SE) is transforming education by breaking the silos between mainstream school education and skill-based learning. By nurturing future-ready competencies in students of today, the education sector is helping build the Viksit Bharat of tomorrow.

Aligned with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020, skill education introduces students to diverse skill domains through the 10 Bagless Days activities for Classes VI to VIII with hands-on and activity-based learning. Students of Classes IX to XII are exposed to the world of work through practical activities in well-equipped Skill Labs, interaction with industry experts, industry visits and internships.

This supports students in holistic development, informed learning choices and gradual preparation for academic, skill and career pathways.

On the 11th International Yoga Day, a programme was organised in the PMSHRI KV Sector-12 New Delhi. Ms Nidhi Pandey, Commissioner KVS along with all other officers of KVS took part in this IYD programme. The Commissioner, KVS,also interacted with the students of classes X & XII.

#KVS budget increased from ₹8,500 Cr in 2023-24 to ₹9,302.67 Cr in 2024-25, up by ₹802.67 Cr. Also, #PMSHRI KVs budget rose from ₹295.36 Cr to ₹717.162 Cr, showing Government of India's commitment to education, focusing on high learning outcomes and better infrastructure.
