Acha, so our ethnicity even affects the way our heart pumps less well. Ethnicity is important. Without research into how disease affects us differently, we can’t treat with nuance! More awareness -> more research -> more understanding -> less disparities
#achacardio
Acha, so we really should educate ourselves about heart failure? Heart Failure is more common in ethnic minorities and research suggests patients are getting sub optimal treatment. Therefore, it’s important to so we can advocate! #achacardio
Peace out from the Cath Lab for 2025 ✌️✌️✌️

Girl Power @ #YiC2025 yesterday!
Great day learning, catching up with colleagues and winning the record for saying “Cardio is actually so cool isn’t it” the most times ever in one day
‼️🚨Cardiology Application Tips🚨‼️
Wouldn’t it be useful to have an early Christmas gift, in the form of a guide to getting into Cardiology Training?

Found myself in enemy territory yesterday- The annual @PottRotation dinner with the bone bros…
Jokes aside, I had the best time. There is a lot to learn from the Potts Club- a real community sharing academia, mentorship and true friendship.
Orthopods know how to party 🪩🪩
Great day at @BJCAstarter HeadStart course yesterday! Leeds, as always, representing! Hard to pick a favourite but @tom__slater demystifying the BCT scaries has made me feel like I can at least pretend not to be scared when I get called from ED now
First day of big school, a real pinch me moment!
Nervous and excited in equal measure but time to try and make all my mentors in Leeds who made this possible proud iA.

After dedicating his life to the NHS, looking after patients and trainees and being the best role model and Father we could dream of-Dr KP retired today!
It was an honour (but not a surprise) to see the number of people who came to celebrate him.
I owe all my successes to you!
In 1984, my Father had his first house officer job. Though he loved Cardiology, he ended up training as an excellent ED physician.
This month marks his retirement, 25 years as a consultant, 40 years in the NHS .. and the month I got a Cardiology number!
This one is for you KP!
