The atmosphere in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. Can hardly see the morning sun, in a cloudless sky. Filthy air, unbreathable and health hazard. Yet, ordinary citizens continue to pay tax? What a joke!! How about some rebates?
A sad day today for Malaysia. The passing of an icon. Tun Dr Hasmah, one of Malaysia's earliest doctors, a truly elegant, charming and gracious lady. We will always remember her.
#Haze getting sick (literally) of the haze situation here. Failed governance and monitoring of corporates. Taxes wasted on politicians. Speaking of house arrests, the best option now is to lockdown and stay indoors. Avoid non-essential expenditure.
Happy 100th birthday Sir David!!
#SirDavidAttenborough . You continue to be an inspiration and thank you for your amazing work. You brought the planet and nature into our homes and hearts. May we protect and preserve Earth and make you proud of us!
@CelcomDigi service has been shoddy and unreliable despite exorbitant fees and charges. I am seriously considering switching to other SP's. Sad, considering I have been with Celcom since 1997. But looks like time to switch.

Mind-blowing discovery!
Nearly 30 ancient inscriptions in Tamil-Brahmi (plus some Prakrit and Sanskrit) have been identified inside the rock-cut tombs of Egypt’s Valley of the Kings, dating to the 1st–3rd centuries CE.
Scholars Charlotte Schmid (EFEO, Paris) and Ingo Strauch (University of Lausanne) documented them across six tombs in the Theban Necropolis. These are art left by visitors, mostly following the common ancient practice (seen with Greek art too) of carving names on walls.
The standout name? Cikai Koṟraṉ, inscribed eight times across five tombs, sometimes high up (4 meters!) near entrances. The name has Tamil roots: “koṟṟaṉ” links to victory/slaying (like Chera warrior goddess Koṟṟavai and kingly titles), with parallels in Sangam literature (e.g., Piṭtāṅkoṟṟaṉ in Purananooru) and other Egyptian finds like Berenike port sherds.
Other names: Kopāṉ varata kantan (“Kopāṉ came and saw”), Cātaṉ, Kiraṉ, many point to southern India/Tamilagam, especially the Malabar Coast.
This pushes beyond known Red Sea ports (like Berenike), proving ancient Tamil/Indian traders, explorers, or travellers ventured deep into Egypt’s interior during the height of Indo-Roman trade. They weren’t just merchants at ports; some were tourists/heritage visitors leaving their mark in pharaohs’ tombs!
A game-changer for understanding ancient global connections and civilisations, Sangam-era maritime reach, and India’s place in the ancient world economy.

Robert Duvall’s #Oscar nomination for The Judge at age 84 made Duvall the oldest male actor to receive a nomination in the Best Supporting Actor category at the time before Christopher Plummer was nominated at age 86 for All the Money in the World. Duvall’s longevity was insane.

High five (jazz hands) to all the school teachers out there. Ryland Grace is the protagonist we are all rooting for, solving one problem after another! What an adventure!
Finished @andyweirauthor 's Project Hail Mary. A thrilling read, right up there with Rendezvous With Rama. Explorative science fiction. Complicated science made easy to understand and engaging.
Finished the book and then watched the trailer, very excited for the movie. Add to this I have also completed the mind blowing 3 Body Problem (all 3 books). I highly recommend all these books.
As part of the older generation of doctors, I consider myself very fortunate. Opportunities were in abundance and cost of living manageable. But for the next gen, I won't blame them if they took this opportunity..
