The tragic killing of innocent labourers in Kellar, Kulgam is profoundly distressing and deserves the strongest condemnation. The taking of an innocent life is an assault on the very essence of humanity. Such acts of violence stand in complete contradiction to the teachings of Islam and have no place in Kashmir, a land historically known for peace, coexistence, and mutual respect. Those responsible must be identified and dealt with firmly in accordance with the law, so that justice is served and such incidents are not repeated.

Deeply grieved by the tragic killing of Police personnel Ashiq Hussain of Beerwah, Budgam, in Anantnag. I unequivocally condemn this reprehensible act.

I earnestly urge the Lieutenant Governor's Administration, the Government of Jammu & Kashmir, and the district administration to launch immediate and comprehensive relief and rescue operations, ensuring timely assistance, restoration of essential services and other basic necessities. A prompt assessment of the damage should be followed by swift rehabilitation and adequate compensation for all affected families, especially those who have lost livelihoods. The tragic loss of a young life has further deepened the sorrow of this calamity. May Almighty Allah grant the departed soul His infinite mercy and bless the bereaved family with patience and strength. At this critical hour, a prompt, coordinated, and compassionate response is essential to ease the suffering of the affected people. I am confident that the L G's Administration and the district authorities will extend every possible support to the victims. Once again the rejection of the bill against Umm-ul-Khabayis and drugs in the state Assembly, merely on the pretext of tourism and economic concerns, has deeply wounded the hearts of the people across the entire region of J & K. This valley, known for centuries as the land of saints, rishis, and spiritual heritage, should never be compelled to compromise its moral and religious values for temporary worldly gains. Today, a wave of sadness and concern has spread among the people of the valley. Many feel that political decisions have become a source of disappointment and despair in their hearts. Yet, in these difficult moments, we must remember that a believer’s strength lies not in despair, but in hope, patience, and unwavering faith. Let us not allow divisions of caste, creed, or politics to weaken our collective voice. Instead, we must stand united and continue our peaceful and lawful struggle until the day comes when Umm-ul-Khabayis and drugs are completely removed from this sacred land. Our unity will be our strength, our faith our shield, and our prayers our most powerful weapon. May Allah ﷻ protect our youth from every form of harm, guide our leaders toward just and morally sound decisions, and restore this valley to the purity, dignity, and spiritual legacy for which it has long been known.
