NITI Aayog today launched the report “Strategic Roadmap for Making Ayurveda Global”. The report was released by Dr. Ashok Kumar Lahiri, Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog, in the presence of Prof. (Dr.) M. Srinivas, Member, NITI Aayog; Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush; and senior officials from NITI Aayog, the Ministry of Ayush, the Ministry of External Affairs, government bodies, PwC, research councils, and industry associations.
The report presents a comprehensive assessment of Ayurveda’s global footprint and outlines a phased roadmap for strengthening its global presence. Built on the pillars of Availability, Acceptability, and Propagation, it identifies key policy priorities to advance global practice, research, education, exports, regulatory alignment, and international collaborations.
Aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 and One Earth, One Health, the report marks an important step towards positioning India as a global leader in traditional medicine while unlocking Ayurveda’s health and economic potential.

NITI Aayog launches "Senior Care Reforms in India" position paper on February 16th
NITI Aayog today released a position paper titled "Senior Care Reforms in India: Reimagining the Senior Care Paradigm". The report was released by NITI Aayog VC, @suman_bery, in the presence of Member (Health) Dr. Vinod K. Paul; CEO, B. V. R. Subrahmanyam, DoSJE Secretary @_saurabhgarg, and senior officials from @MSJEGOI, @MoHFW_INDIA, @moayush.
This comprehensive report, which also factors in inputs from various Central Ministries, associations, NGOs, and stakeholders, presents a critical analysis of the current senior care landscape in India. The recommendations in this position paper categorize the specific interventions needed in terms of empowerment, service delivery, and their inclusions under four core areas: Health, Social, Economic/ Financial, and Digital.

#NITIAayog conducted a multi-stakeholder national consultation on Strengthening School Health Services on 27 July 2023, involving senior representatives from States and UTs, @MoHFW_India, @EduMinOfIndia, @MoAyush, @MinistryWCD, and partners.
