Il est évident que les violences contre la police, les incendies volontaires et les dégradations de biens publics ne peuvent être justifiés, et que l’État a le devoir de maintenir et de rétablir la paix et l’ordre public.

Mais la contradiction se situe ailleurs : pourquoi les mêmes comportements et les mêmes crit��res sont-ils interprétés d’une manière lorsque le manifestant se trouve en Iran, et d’une autre lorsqu’il se trouve en France ?

Le problème n’est pas la contestation ; le problème est le deux poids, deux mesures. Si les droits humains et le droit de manifester sont des principes universels, leur définition ne devrait pas changer en fonction de la géographie du manifestant.
