@airserbia maybe try & address the lack of luggage you fail to deliver and promise on your deliverables rather than keeping the little guy waiting ..& waiting 48 hrs location known zero care factor
So here’s the GP policy roundabout we are in at the moment
Freeze Medicare rebates to unsustainable levels
Push expectations that GPs should BB
Design Medicare so GPs doing long consultations are financially penalised.
Blame GPs for doing “6 minute medicine”
The headline says it all. As I told @NC_Robinson - hardworking GPs, many of whom do a lot of unpaid work every day, were left devastated this week. To create distrust of an entire medical profession is shameful and unfair. I stand by our GPs. https://t.co/zQsPPBwEiX
#fauxlowvaluecare So the patient sees their naturopath and requests pathology tests from their GP, most not indicated, but some doctors would oblige, sometimes to aid care & often engagement. This is a Medicare rort started knowingly by the naturopath - who can order the
playing the man not the system. You reap what you sow. General Practice was already in crisis. But @abc730 was followed by @4corners crying about the shortage of rural GPs. Confused? Absolutely guaranteed the shortage will be worse after this as what’s the point of being a media
@British_Airways yeah change my premium seats that I paid 50CHF to none premium seats and don’t offer a refund In any other business this would be called THEFT
@ian_hickie@RACGP@brookmanknight@amapresident@Mark_Butler_MP @NC_Robinson @Emma4Dobell Where do suggest they go @ian_hickie? Last time I checked the OOP for both psychiatrist and psychologists was far in excess of the usual maximum I charge of$40. Attacking the most cost effective part of the health system: all I see are the same criticisms and zero solutions.
GPs are said to have a "vested interest" in increasing their role in MH. Here's the facts. We represent 3% of the total MH budget. We see most of the patients. We cost 1/4 cost of psychiatrist per min. We earn 3x more doing flu vax per min. Why does increasing MH benefit me?
@trishgreenhalgh soooo you think an orthopaedic surgeon would know more about long Covid than the (specialist) GPs who are treating their long Covid patients worldwide? The service gaps are real, there is no one else - as per usual- to fill@the service gaps
Long Covid is real and will continue affect many of our patients. We are doing our share to fill a service gap, but will the government step in and help? #LongCovid ,#longcovidawareness#racgp
So whilst you’re standing around pontificating @StevenMilesMP maybe stop standing in front of pharmacies, stop being bought by the Pharmacy Guild and do your bloody job and fix Queensland health as it’s your damn job.
So apparently the current ramping crisis is our (GPs) fault - not Covid, not the chronic underfunding of Medicare, not the public expectation of free medicine for everything anytime anywhere, not Labours underfunding of the hospital system
But while @StevenMilesMP stands in front of pharmacies and not in front line healthcare, not seeing respiratory patients like I do, not swabbing them like I do, not caring for them like I do then it’s oh so easy to point the finger
