The Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Ghana (SOGOG) successfully completed its AGSM in Koforidua last Sunday under the theme “Towards a Cervical Cancer-Free Future in Ghana: Advancing Women’s Health through HPV Vaccination “ . SOGOG also launched the Ghana National Cervical Cancer Prevention and Treatment Guidelines at the AGSM.

Depression during pregnancy and in the period after birth is a major problem among women in Ghana. Almost 30% of women suffer from depression during this period. More efforts should be taken to screen, identify and manage depression in the perinatal period.
