@daniellloyd1 Out of interest which school... I live in the Christchurch area also so may face this problem in the near future. Would love children to be able to cycle to school safely but cycling infrastructure is so so poor in this area.
2 years ago we published this study suggesting significant mitochondrial dysfunction in Long-Covid patients.
The idea was so crazy that we weren't able to include "mitochondrial dysfunction" in the article title. Instead, we had to used "decreased fat oxidation and altered lactate production" as surrogates for mitochondrial function through the methodology that I developed.
It as also such a wild idea that the journal didn't want to publish it as an article and instead it was just as a "correspondence" to the Editor. Link here 👇

2 years later, there are dozens of very well articulated and sophisticated studies showing mitochondrial dysfunction in long-covid patients. The evidence now is quite robust.
While we don't have any medication to treat mitochondrial dysfunction, exercise is the only method we know that can work.
With so much evidence, it is time for hospitals and healthcare systems to invest in supervised exercise programs for long-covid patients.
In my previous post, I showed a pioneer exercise intervention study led by my colleagues @alberenguel and @ManoloGallango at the @HospitalUnivTO in Spain where they showed that 8 weeks of supervised exercise training improved multiple parameters in Long-Covid patients.
This VAR decision in Ligue 1 has been broadcast with total transparency and clarity over the decision making process for those watching.
It’s a real breath of fresh air compared to the radio silence you get in the English game.
There isn't one quote we could pick out of this interview to do it justice. If there is one interview you watch today, make it this one with @matmohoric.
On n'a pas su choisir une seule citation qui rendrait hommage à l'interview. Du coup si vous devez écoutez un seul interview en entier aujourd'hui, faites en sorte que ce soit celui de @matmohoric.

Another competition done with @GBRMedFootball , very grateful for the opportunity as always.
Not the outcome we wanted and disappointed to lose 1-0 in the final but a very enjoyable 9 days in Vienna with a great group.
Now back to the daily grind.
Through to the final vs Ireland tomorrow. Been a physically challenging week but the team @GBRMedFootball have been amazing. Come on boys, let's bring it home. #wmfc2023
Having forgotten about it for a while, I just remembered how furious I am about the amount of school uniform that is going go to waste because @TwynhamLearning and CJS have decided to "update the uniform". #bonkers#wasteful#environment
95p cheaper (more with NHS discount) in @BootsUK than the hospital cafe @UHD_NHS. Luckily I can easily walk the 50m to Boots to save £1, many in our hospital who are not so mobile and those who would assume the hospital cafe would/should be cheaper are losing out. #profiteering
@NCCUCambridge@zoe_robertson1 @fi_pea @HelenSpencerJo1 And that's not even considering half life of chloroethane, co2 equivalence, carcinogenic properties and risk to aquatic life. I'd probably say that a reusable (will last upwards of 10 years if they don't get binned) plastic and metal stick may be better. Just my opinion.
@NCCUCambridge@zoe_robertson1 @fi_pea @HelenSpencerJo1 Well if you reverse your question and consider the ethyl chloride can is also made of plastic (the lid and the nozzle component) and metal (the can) plus the transport costs of multiple cans. I think you could probably say its probably environmentally better.
