2) Teach, Break it, Teach how to fix it. Don't just explain golden paths
3) Give them decent dashboards / GUI for debugging

Companies need to learn to communicate better not faster. (and often that is less frequent comunication not more)

The metric is super subjective though. request volume or request size? Small team large team? High risk medical/safety? Mass roll out multi country/region.

I think every company with more than 40 engineers should probably have someone dedicated to release engineering/developer productivity.

If that person has have excellent judgment and operational sense, they will be a gamechanger. (or dare i say...a 10x engineer?)
