@i_am_Cristi I think it can also be a matter of audience type, too. If I know my audience is short on money due to their inherent demographic, I feel bad asking them to pay money for something I do as a passion. It's like beggars begging from the poor ... just awkward.
@Restrayned01 If it's an automated PoS system, usually yes. If it's a tip jar, maybe 75% of the time, yes. Sometimes I don't have enough change to make a proper tip in cash.
It is not abnormal or selfish or narcissistic to want recognition for your hard work.
Knowing this, there are people out there working hard and doing the most who probably feel overlooked.
Give praise, let people know you see & appreciate them.
