This is it. Sadly so many of us are at their mercy and put up with their bullshit because we’re in love with the idea of convenience. To the point where if we can’t get and item on next day delivery or our food within 20mins we’re pissed 😔

And you might think that’s not a lot, but when you’ve got staff, stock, rent, equipment and God knows what worse to pay. It’s a lot! Trust!

It’s difficult now & might mean your food takes a little longer. But if you really wanna support local or fave restaurant use their own delivery service, if they have one, or pick it up for TA. Because that meal you’re buying in some cases more than a 1/3 of it they don’t see

It’s actually sad that after all this so many other independent restaurants in the UK are going to be heavily reliant on them. And without a shadow of a doubt, they’ll probably still increase their percentage fees at some point even after stories like the one on @AppleNewsUK 😔
