HALI. IS. BACK. 🏁
After 486 days away from official game action, Tyrese Haliburton returns to the floor TONIGHT!
The Pacers open their season against the Pelicans at 8:00pm/et on NBA League Pass.
Tyrese Haliburton on his goals this season with the Indiana Pacers:
"My goal this year is to be the best version of myself that there's ever been. That's 100% my plan. I want to be an All-Star. I want to be All-NBA. I want to do all those things. I want to win. I want to put our team in position to be the #1 seed. I want to win a championship.

This will go down as another feather in the cap of the Pacers front office.
$8.25M AAV for a player who fits perfectly into Indiana’s clear two-year title window.
Oubre answers the “versatile wing defender” question the Pacers have been trying to solve for years. He can legitimately guard multiple positions at a high level.
The overall 3PT percentage leaves a little to be desired, but he shot 46% from the corners last season.
His cutting adds another dimension to the offense, and his ability to run and finish in transition make him a seamless fit in the Pacers system.
In many ways, this signing is an extension of the Zubac trade. The money that would have gone to a top-4 draft pick instead lands a proven veteran wing who addresses several of the front office’s biggest win-now priorities.
If this is the “contingency plan” Rick Carlisle and Chad Buchanan have publicly referred to, then credit where it’s due: they’ve turned a lost lottery pick into a starting-caliber center and a playoff-tested two-way wing.
Tyrese on feeling pressure to be as good as he was pre-injury when he comes back:
“I definitely feel like I will be at the same level, if not better… At this point in my life, what is pressure?”
