Our dog evacuation kit. A demo with Iris and Helios.

Our pals are hikers and they tackle hills and mountains. This evac kit will go with them on their adventures. It’s super lightweight and packs down in a small bag.

It allows you to carry your dog in case of emergency or accident.

Iris is 25kg and Helios is 15kg and I could carry them both easily. The kit puts the weight of the dog on your hips, not on your shoulders or back.

The dogs really were comfortable and happy to just chill out whilst we tried the kit.

Tails from a dog shoppy.

We had a customer say recently, "if Be More Bob recommend it, I know it'll be good."

Now, that's a dream sentence for us! Something we've been working toward for 6.5 years.

It comes with it's challenges as we often get asked for products that we don't stock. Either because a) we can't find a quality version or b) we prefer to buy a UK designed or made version c) we don't think it's very good product.

There are a few other things we don't stock that could be down to size, or price being too high.

We are always looking to balance quality / price / manufacturing integrity / genuine need.

A little story of ‘keeping your chin up’ in retail.

Last week a customer came in to browse our bed selection. They left saying they can buy a cheaper bed at the ‘big pet store’.

That’s true, they can.

But our beds are made in the U.K. (not far up the road from us), using top quality upholstery fabric, they are deep filled with channels of padding. They are washable too. I think they are great value for that.

I felt a little disappointed that they chose to tell me they were leaving for another shop.

However, on Saturday they came back and purchased one of our beds.

Of the many things I’ve learnt owning our own empawrium is, that you sell what you believe in. And the people will find you.
