Sunil Narine – The Definition of Control & Consistency
- He has been playing T20s since 2011
- And only once his economy crossed 7 in a full calendar year
- Finished 15 years with economy under 7
- Out of those, 7 years under 6, that’s unreal in modern T20
- In an era where 10+ economy is “normal” he is bowling with such control.
- Batters have faced him for over a decade
- Yet still struggle to pick his variations consistently
Super over:
- He holds one of the rarest and most iconic Super Over records in T20 history, he is the only bowler ever to bowl a maiden Super Over.
- Vs LSG, he conceded just 1 runs, which is lowest in the IPL in super over.
GREATEST BOWLER IN THE HISTORY OF THE IPL.
John Cena smiling before tapping out , After all these years he knew his time is up.
He told us that at some point in our life , we have to give up.
This is what it’s all about , It’s all about life.
The noise of firecrackers and the Twitter timeline suggest that India has won the Asia Cup.
As soon as India lifted the cup, Pakistan was diplomatically isolated internationally, cross-border terrorism came to a halt, Islamabad issued an apology for the Pahalgam massacre, PoK was handed back to India, and impressed by our sportsman spirit, the IOC shifted the Summer Olympics, 2028 venue from Los Angeles to New Delhi.
A befitting reply to those who were asking why we were playing against a terrorist nation. A big, beautiful, important cup. Life in India was meaningless before this moment.
Visarjan in Versova ❤️
Shooting in Madh yesterday. Took the jetty back to Versova and walked through the streets for about a kilometre. Ran into five Ganesh processions going through their neighbourhood. Men in coordinated T shirts. Ladies looking beautiful in coordinated Saaris. All ages, dressed the same beaming with pride around Murthis of different sizes and budgets. Shops open, so you’d see a shop keeper leave an open shop, go dance for a bit, then head back to their chair. Muslim men in pathaan suits, sitting on chairs outside saying hello to Hindu people they see everyday. One religion coming out to see another in their finest before they both join the Mumbai hustle tomorrow. We have laddoos from the shoot. We open up a few boxes and walk through. I offer them to people. Everyone takes a little bit of a laddoo. No one takes a full one. Curious. They just break off a little bit and smile at me. I smile back, there are hugs and photos and chanting. We walk to the car, takes about an hour. On the way back it strikes me. Only had about thirty laddoos. Maybe the reason everyone broke off just a bit is because they know there’s many more processions behind them. Leave enough for the next. And it reminds me why I fell in love with this city. No one has enough, but in Mumbai you try and leave a little, because you’re always conscious of who’s behind you. The box of laddoos last the walk. That’s Mumbai at it’s romanticised best.
Or maybe the laddoos didn’t look appetising enough and they were just being polite. Personally, I prefer the Mumbai lore.
