In short, the state’s leaders have prioritized expanding last minute options to vote by mail over a quick count.
Scott Pelley fires back at "60 Minutes" after being fired and says Paramount-Skydance is weakening the news show "apparently to curry favor with the Trump administration."
“Last month, '60 Minutes' lost its DNA when our entire senior leadership and two of our best on-air correspondents were cruelly fired without cause. Good people were silenced because they stood up for our audience. They stood for fairness against the forces of political bias; they stood for professionalism against chaos... Recently, politicians have been invited to choose correspondents for interviews on the broadcast. Giving politicians control over '60 Minutes' interviews is not how this is done. Incompetence and unprofessionalism in the new management have wreaked havoc."

Uganda has one of Africa’s strongest outbreak surveillance and response systems, built through decades of successfully containing Ebola and other public health threats. The current situation involves very limited cases and does not warrant treating an entire nation of close to 50million people as a risk.
Precaution is necessary. Blanket restrictions are not.
Uganda deserves to be judged by the strength of its response, not by its proximity to a neighboring country facing a different situation.

Like there's a real concern about broadcast and linear tv for sure. But it's something broadcast networks will have to figure out on their own with all hands on deck, but not like this.
It's the hubris of an unqualified wyt dude coming in to "save" a flagship show that has been successful for decades and will certainly outlast him for me. Oh and Ms Weiss too. https://t.co/kJyHQ6s4JS
