Greg McCabe, the CEO of Next Bridge Hydrocarbons (fka $MMTLP), did a long interview with Lara Logan that was released today. He's been quiet for years. Good to hear his opinions.
My personal thoughts on this company are critical of it, obviously. But apparently people have been harassing his daughter-in-law's employer. Which is insane and uncalled for. From my perspective this is a family that is well liked.
Next Bridge Hydrocarbons has no significant assets or revenue. I believe it has less than $200K in cash and is $60 million in the hole.
Further, it is currently being sued by the University of Texas Lands System who says the company failed to pay minimum royalties (>$1.1MM), failed to fulfill their drilling obligations, failed to provide reports, failed plug wells and remediate surface and failed to file releases of leases.
But Greg and the shareholders don't care about the hydrocarbons; which is convenient because the company and it's predecessors never sold any hydrocarbons. Nor do they seem to care about the intrinsic value or financial health of the company.
They are upset because trading of the MMTLP shares was halted two days prior to being delisted as they were to go private as Next Bridge.
You see, they were all convinced that by taking this company private it would force the hand of an overweight short float and create a squeeze to the moon. Pick out your Lambo colors before the squeeze!
Reservoir engineering was no longer what was important.
Engineering a short squeeze was the game now.
I think we can see why the SEC subpoena asked him to hand over all of his trading and financial data.
So, what do they want? They want their 2 trading days back so they can get their short squeeze and retire. They call it a "theft" that the stock was halted (while also admitting that the short side of the trade resulted in no profits and remains illiquid).
But, it doesn't matter. Greg said that's a pipe dream and the 2 days ain't coming back. The only thing left to do now is issue 40MM shares and hope that the shorts will fall all over themselves to buy the shares to cover.
Except Greg says that is going terribly and nobody cares about his (worthless) shares.
But... then he says one company wants 10 million..
It's all very dizzying. This company is broke. It doesn't have oil and for the last 13 years it didn't have oil. It's original owner, Arabella, was basically just a fraud vehicle.
I am glad McCabe finally went public with something in depth. I wonder if he's motivated to go public now because he got hit with the UL lawsuit three weeks ago and he just lost a lawsuit he filed against an analyst who was saying things he didn't like about the company (aka the truth). Hell, he's probably gonna sue me after I post this. He threatens A LOT of people.
I have no idea what his offramp is here. Maybe this media tour IS the off ramp? Nobody is going to buy his shares and his company has zero going for it.
He should settle his debts with the UL System, pay for plugging and remediation and just put all of this behind him. Being sued for wildly mismanaging your obligations is not the best look.
Greg McCabe, chairman and CEO of Next Bridge Hydrocarbons, breaks three and a half years of public silence on the extraordinary failures of U.S. market regulation and blatant corruption at FINRA and the SEC. McCabe describes unauthorized trading of company shares, massive naked short selling, and a devastating FINRA trading halt that froze assets of 124,000 shareholders. Despite receiving SEC approval for share registration after three years, short sellers have refused to settle. McCabe calls for transparency, accountability, and government intervention to protect retail investors.

@GoingRoguewLara
@RandyCr77835119@NotKcat There is plenty of evidence of a lack of oil.
Lots of wells. No oil. No sales. No revenue. No acreage retained. All acreage gone. Big plugging bill.
Whole lot of evidence.
@E_IS_Ferguson@Albertagarbage I almost want to create a Facebook account purely to troll people.
But, haven’t had one in a decade and I like it that way.
@NerdiestK@Glinner You think that a Free Palestine concert would be celebrated by Nazis?
I have news for you.
It’s the political left that supports Islam and hates Jews. This is a concert for leftists.
@EnergyCredit1 I just found out about the University Lands lawsuit having been filed. I'll be posting about it tomorrow.
It makes sense to me why he now went on this PR campaign. He has to cover up the UL suit and loss to you.
Everything about this is extend and pretend.
