An extensor tendon injury of left middle finger zone 5 corrected under WideAwakeLocalAnaesthesiaNoTourniquet WALANT. Great extension and full finger flexion at4 weeks post-op. Kudos to Dr. Don Lalonde who taught me this technique.

Performing zone 5 extensor tendon reconstruction in the ER under WALANT gives guaranteed patient satisfaction. This gentleman can appreciate complete finger flexion and extension immediately post-op. Very compliant for post-op physio after the mandatory 3 week immobilisation.
