The only possible way that the separatist petition should even be considered by @ElectionsAB is if every single signature is personally verified with every single signee.

Today, columnist Jen Gerson released an excellent opinion piece, “A Few Thoughts on Leadership,” addressing Danielle Smith’s decision to empower Alberta separatists.
I shared some of it in my response to the UCP’s decision to limit debate on Bill 49. #ableg
"Some 700 companies left Quebec to relocate to other Canadian provinces during the (Parti Quebecois) years."
An interesting read on how even separation talk can lead to economic investment leaving a province.

@andrew_leach First group there was at my door in the heart of Edmonton today. They can’t have thought they’d get a good reception, and they certainly didn’t from me… but they’ve definitely gotten bolder than the kudatah days.
@andrew_leach I think we’re *almost* at the beginning of a Canadian Rocky IV here. Last piece of the puzzle would be the PM deciding to be trainer. The last 2/3 of the movie wouldn’t happen due to no tragedy at the end of the 1st match. Also very Canadian.
We’re pleased to announce that the litigation against Sable has finally concluded on terms that we believe send a strong message to patent trolls everywhere — if you bring meritless patent claims against Cloudflare, we will fight back and we will win. https://t.co/XrIqLUehQI
Those UCP candidates on your doorstep begging you to vote for them and they will get rid of Danielle Smith - they didn’t stop her from getting in, they have supported every decision she has made, and they chose to run for her no one forced them. #ableg
@andrew_leach @gdnicholson I suspect Cloudflare isn’t the host. I could pick any hosting spot and put CF in front of it to accelerate static content, protect from DoS attacks, etc. But if I haven’t set it up to handle legit peak traffic, that’s an error message I’d expect.
@staines_andyjoy No argument from me on the final act being largely for show. Doesn’t mean there isn’t cause for concern (likewise, have to read a lot into the minister’s quote to be concerned about it), esp due to rhetoric & lack of consult. SK act specifically mentioned at 43:50 in video.
With Travis Toews, Sonya Savage, and other senior cabinet ministers stepping down, the United Conservative Party is officially dead.
Meet the Take Back Alberta party -- and find out what it means for the province's political future. #ableg#cdnpoli https://t.co/QXahpn75k1
Hey @ab_emergalert… I think someone fell asleep on the “test” button. Please wake them up. Perhaps with a blaring sound similar to the one happening on my phone every 2 or so minutes ;-)
TFW I suddenly want to track down a reference in a book I read a decade ago, can’t find it because I got someone else interested enough in it and lent it to them… and now can’t even remember who it was in order to hire some thugs to retrieve it…
After our weird time trying to get to Montreal for the holidays and getting caught in the catastrophic failure of one airline to do much of anything, I’m really happy that thanks to @AirCanada one of us is actually there now to see her family.
Back in YEG after our thwarted attempt to get to YUL, picking up the car from the @ParkNFlyCA. Explained why we were walk ins instead of coming in on the shuttle. On our way out, we go to settle up & are waived through. Our hassle 0% their fault, of course. Super nice of them.
