Over the last few days U.S. military bases in Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Qatar were blasted apart. Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

They are, after all, artificial constructs without profound historical foundation. 

Britain created them for British imperial convenience, then, they placed themselves on American military life support.

Now, the countries’ desalination plants and oil infrastructure are badly damaged, perhaps beyond repair.

The U.S. military can’t protect them. Now a worldwide fertilizer shortage resulting from the oil bottled up in the Persian Gulf threatens tens of millions of people with starvation. 

Meanwhile on 24 July 2026 China is shutting down paper gold. Beijing is preparing to turn the Yuan into a gold backed currency.

This is the most significant financial event since Washington abandoned the gold standard. 

Most Americans are unaware of these developments, but collectively they are potentially devastating to American strategic power.

They may also force an end to Trump’s war with Iran long before US forces run out of missiles.
