Breaking news from today’s Let’s Talk meeting on vaccines and next phases.
We will continue to process the information and what it means but Down syndrome was recognized as one of a very small list of high risk conditions and will be in the very next waveof about 100,000.
Update - Unfortunately, it’s not a good one. We finally heard from Governor Walz’s team and they have not agreed to prioritize adults with Down syndrome in spite of their well documented risk.

New recommendations from the CDC. Those recommendations included 65+ AND 18-64 with underlying conditions. Minnesota moved those 65+ up in reaction to this recommendation - but did NOT choose to include those with underlying conditions.

Thank you Chris Serres and the @StarTribune for continuing to shine a light on this issue. Our calls for communication and risk-based prioritization have gone unanswered.
