@JonathanMerritt God is not an emotionally unstable being. His justice and mercy act in perfect union. The believer has no condemnation because of the cross, but this doesn’t free us from consequences of living in a morally fallen world.

@JonathanMerritt God is just and righteous, deserving of worship and full obedience. A penalty and judgment had to be born in our place to satisfy Gods righteous demands. His justice being satisfied is a picture of His loving substitution for us, not of a malevolent being who is blood thirsty.
