🚨 Major Web3 Security Alert - ACTION REQUIRED

Today @thirdweb released a security alert about a vulnerability affecting some of their pre-built smart contracts: https://t.co/aL2HuSeIuu.

In a nutshell, the root cause of the vulnerability originates from a commonly used open-source library. thirdweb hasn't disclosed any further details, such as the vulnerable library identity or the exploit details.

🧐 How this affects YOU

A) thirdweb announced that most of their pre-built smart contracts deployed before November 22nd at 7 pm PST were affected. Many companies and projects have used them. These companies range from highly known marketplaces to small NFT projects.

B) A more profound concern: We believe malicious actors will soon figure out the vulnerable open-source library and how to exploit it. This will expand the attack surface to any smart contract that uses this vulnerable open-source library.

The possible outcome of the attack hasn't been disclosed yet, but according to thirdweb's instructions for vulnerable projects, it seems that the attack could potentially compromise all assets involved with the vulnerable smart contracts.

⚠️ ACTION REQUIRED

Due to the ambiguity of the situation and the lack of detailed information from thirdweb, here are our recommendations until this incident has more clarity:

1) Revoke all approvals at @RevokeCash for any company/project, including the big ones, for example, Uniswap, OpenSea, etc., until the company/project clarifies its status related to this vulnerability.
For example, OpenSea has yet to mitigate it: https://t.co/lmZ9eJmxCh, while Cool Cats clarified their collections are secure: https://t.co/wPps2w3BT9.

2) Pay close attention to all the socials of the projects you are a holder of, as they will probably release statements about this incident and further actions if needed. If they haven't released statements yet, encourage them to do so as fast as possible.
