We will have to disagree. Paxton was acquitted on the impeachment for lack of evidence from witnesses under oath (unlike in the House testimony). The felony fraud was settled after years of him maintaining his innocence, and long after the SEC's charges were dismissed by a federal court. As a public servant, Paxton has been a top tier AG looking out for the interests of Texas and the people of Texas. His long list of accomplishments are available to anyone who wants to make a smart decision for our state. As a public servant, Talarico has promoted very progressive ideology such as maintaining DEI in schools, keeping pornographic LGBT+ books in libraries where children have access, supports the open border as our "front porch to welcome those in need", etc. As an individual, he proclaims himself Christian but is a progressive ideological Christian who distorts the words of God to validate progressive ideology (God is non-binary, God asked Mary for her consent to be the mother of Jesus so the Bible is pro choice, claims athiests are more Christ-like than Christians, etc) True Christianity is rooted in Scripture, not culturally watered-down versions that bend to validate ideology. Oh, and then let's talk about the girlfriends Democrats are parading - they all seem to be legislative staffers, with the current now a lobbyist. Do we want a US Senator dating a lobbyist? Doesn't that seem unethical? We don't need woke progressivism in Texas - it is so anti-Texas.

I am truly perplexed that so many people are against mosques being built...

I think it should be the goal of every Western Society to be tolerant regardless of their religious beliefs. Thus mosques should be allowed, in an effort to promote tolerance.

That is why I also propose that two nightclubs be opened next door to the mosque, thereby promoting tolerance from within the mosque. We could call one of the clubs, which would be gay, "The Turban Cowboy ", and the other a topless bar called "You Mecca Me Hot."

Next door should be a butcher shop that specializes in pork, and adjacent to that an open-pit barbecue pork restaurant, called "Iraq o' Ribs."

Across the street there could be a lingerie store called "Victoria Keeps Nothing Secret ", with sexy mannequins in the window modeling the goods.

Next door to the lingerie shop there would be room for an adult sex toy shop, "Koranal Knowledge ", its name in flashing neon lights, and on the other side an off-licence called "Morehammered."

All of this would encourage Muslims to demonstrate the tolerance they demand of us, so their mosque issue would not be a problem for others.
