A Map showing how hard or easy it is for Tanzanians to travel to every African country from Tanzania. Inspired by @justrioba (Kenya) & @funmioyatogun (Nigeria). (Thread has more details)
@MrShady6012@DanielSson85@DavidColtart Those people know better than me. As a tourist and a passerby the guards onsite seemed to indicate things are moving along.
@IanECox TBH I doubt this ever materializes and if it doesn’t it won’t be frequent enough to make a major impact. They do not have the aircraft to pull this off at a frequency that makes sense. But with an EU blacklist India, China & Russia are one of the few options.
@anyanyakegode@MwendaKev Tbh the biggest users in Tanzania are not grid connected. The idea with expanding the generation capacity is to get large customers such as the mining companies to switch over from diesel or coal.
One of the most commendable and intriguing projects I have come across lately. This digital roadmap by @KRB_Kenya shows the condition of all roads in Kenya https://t.co/eitKZueIbW
@LindaMeadWrites@Johnubacon This is how we used to do digital newspapers in Tanzania. They had both options, single issue read pay as you go or subscriptions. It worked quite well for me to be honest. @rifaly_
@AnonymousA47374@AdamTheofilatos FWIW. This is what the coverage of the Tanzania game looked like, vs the India game had ball by ball coverage, updates, and post game reviews and interviews. This is not rage bait, this is the reality of cricket journalism in the rest of the world.
@puzzledzimbo @Mlandeli_Ndlela The international flights from Air Tanzania connect via Dar-es-salaam. JRO and ZNZ are very easily accessible from Dar though. Still a big step in the right direction.
Air Tanzania Receives The Water Cannon Salute:
@Airports_Zim is thrilled to welcome Air Tanzania’s inaugural flight from Dar es Salaam to Victoria Falls International Airport, an arrival that reinforces Zimbabwe’s standing as a premier destination of choice.
This new direct link shows the successful implementation of the Open Skies Policy, fostering regional integration.
As we transition into the National Development Strategy 2 (NDS2), such strategic aviation partnerships are critical drivers for tourism growth and infrastructure utilisation, directly propelling us towards the realisation of Vision 2030, transforming Zimbabwe into an empowered upper-middle-income society.
ACZ is at the core of providing world-class airport services that connect Zimbabwe to the rest of the continent and the world, ensuring that "the smoke that thunders" is only a direct flight away for our regional and international partners; leaving noone and no place behind!

@Emerging98 The reasons are out there. Dar-es-Salaam has been in curfew for the past week. And they just got internet today after Wednesday of last week.
@kwirirayi Not sure what Tanzania needs here. The domestic Leauge is fairly decent relative to other continental domestic setups. But then brining that fire or even fans to show up for the national team seems to be a struggle.
