⚠️Russia is running a continent-wide disinformation operation — and Africa is the primary theatre.

Ukraine's Defence Intelligence @DI_Ukraine confirmed the assessment, with spokesperson Andriy Chernyak outlining the full scope of the Kremlin's African strategy:

Four simultaneous objectives:
→ Advancing Russian geopolitical interests
→ Sanctions circumvention — using African countries as transit routes for restricted goods
→ Resource access — minerals, energy, strategic materials
→ Mercenary recruitment — documented across 36 African countries

Running in parallel: a continent-scale cognitive warfare operation.

"Africa has become a large-scale testing ground for Russia's cognitive weapons."

The documented network: at least 22 African countries host active fake news infrastructure — spreading disinformation, provoking internal conflicts, and sustaining pro-Russian regimes.

It is the same doctrine Russia applied in Europe — fake news networks, manufactured social tension, support for destabilising political movements — now exported and scaled across an entire continent with fewer regulatory barriers and weaker media literacy infrastructure to resist it.

Ukraine has been warning about this since 2022. The same methods used to recruit Kenyan civilians with promises of plumbing jobs in Russia, the same information operations that tried to frame Ukraine for attacks on Paris mosques — all part of one coordinated system operating simultaneously across Europe and Africa.

The difference: in Africa, the infrastructure is newer, the countermeasures are weaker, and the population is larger.

Understanding Russia's information war requires understanding where it is actually being fought — not only in European capitals, but across 22 African countries right now.

There’s an example of a good tool. And this tool is awaiting funding via CFP!

Sadly, it’s not looking good for this tool right now. And I have an idea why MN owners voted against it with more than 60% as this point in time.

I believe 60k DFI is cheap for what we got with this Python Library. And we should appreciate the work of its developer.

Okay, what is it? Well, let’s see it this way: Would you rather use a power drill to get a hole in a wall or would you choose to make it by hand, just having a drill bit but no machine? That’s the equivalent we‘re talking here.

@Intr0c‘s Python library is basically a DeFiChain light wallet but for developers. And he already put it in the DeFiChain work shop. Future developers can use it to automate things right within their program code. They don’t have to figure out how to communicate with DeFiChain. They simply can focus on what‘s important: building the functionality they’re aiming for.

This programming library is speeding up everything by factor 10. And it is securing everything by the same amount because Eric did the heavy lifting and put it in an easy-to-use tool.

But he did not stop there. He also wrote us developers a handy instruction manual. You might think „Meh. I don’t read manuals.“ - but boy are you wrong with this attitude when it comes to software development! A good documentation is almost more important than the tool itself!

So, please, if you don’t understand what this Python library is, that’s totally okay. But listen to me: This thing is a gigantic leap forward for DeFiChain! It will enable future projects to work almost on steroids. It will enable DMC to succeed more than you might imagine!

So, please honor Eric‘s work and vote with a yes. Just trust me as a developer. Having him motivated and honored will work like rocket fuel in the future.
