It was a privilege to represent the Lieutenancy at the Annual Service for Sister Dora (Dorothy Pattison 1832-78), Walsall’s most famous citizen. An anglican nun who treated thousands of the poor and sick. @WMLieutenancy@WalsallCouncil
It was an honour to represent the Lieutenancy at a Remembrance Ceremony at Barr Beacon War Memorial in Walsall this morning. @WMLieutenancy@WalsallCouncil
I was delighted to represent the Lieutenancy at Citizenship Ceremony held yesterday in Walsall. Together with the Deputy Mayor, we awarded Certificates to over 40 people from across the globe who had attained their British Citizenship.@WMLieutenancy@WalsallCouncil
@truemagic68 I agree. I thought it was a truly dreadful interview. I thought the role of the interviewer was to help educate and inform . This appeared to be little more than an attempt at cheap point scoring.
I was delighted to represent the Lieutenancy at a Citizenship Ceremony in Walsall which was held this morning. Together with the Mayor, we presented certificates to over 40 people from across the globe who had attained Citizenship. @WMLieutenancy @WalsallCouncil
@bbcmtd Surely the question that should be asked of the Airport, is why is the airport being closed for over 6 hrs? There were no fatalities, only part of the undercarriage collapsed. Why could the small aircraft just be towed off?
I was delighted to represent the Lieutenancy at the July Citizenship Ceremony in Walsall. Together with the Mayor of Walsall, we presented certificates and congratulated over 60 local people who received their British Citizenship. @WMLieutenancy @WalsallCouncil
Why do people now think it is perfectly acceptable to sit on a train and listen to music at volume on their phones, without using earphones? Travelling by rail is no longer a pleasurable experience.
I was pleased to be able to represent the Lieutenancy at the inaugural “Bostin Black Country Bash” held at Walsall Arboretum.
The Mayor of Walsall, Cllr Louise Harrison, and Deputy Mayors from the Black Country toured this hugely entertaining event @WMLieutenancy@WalsallCouncil
This is my forecast after many years in business. The Treasury and Bank of England have grossly underestimated the impact of the NI hike. Every business I speak to is either stopping recruitment, not replacing staff, making redundancies or closing. @hmtreasury@bankofengland
@LiamHalligan@AllisonPearson This is worse than the 1970’s. First the NI hike and now a raft of measures, not one of which will encourage business to hire staff. Politicians delight in talking about stimulating growth, but they are just words.
It is just easier to spend other people’s money.
A “Backstreet Slaughterhouse”?
How is this possible in a Country and City which are supposed to have the highest levels of animal welfare and food hygiene. https://t.co/UvMUYYN84W
I was delighted to represent the Lieutenancy at the Installation of Cllr Louise Harrison as Mayor of Walsall for 2025-26. I very much look forward to working with her. @WMLieutenancy@WalsallCouncil
Piece in the latest edition of “Rail”. Magazine. Such is the failure to get a grip of the ballooning costs of HS2, that an option being considered is delay to the start of construction work on Birmingham Interchange. The project becomes increasingly irrelevant. #HS2@bbcwm
I was pleased to represent the Lieutenancy at the April Citizenship Ceremony in Walsall. 64 people from across the globe pledging loyalty to King and Country and now full citizens of the United Kingdom.

@SkySportsPL What I don’t understand is how they at VAR can make an offside call based on millimetres, but they couldn’t make the correct call on something that was so blatant.
I was delighted to join the Mayor of Walsall, the Leader and Chief Executive, in the launch of a fascinating oral history looking at the relationship between her late Majesty and her direct links with Walsall.
So many participants were present.
