@farmagro1 2 wheels. Our rule was once you can ride your push bike without training wheels you can have a go on a motorbike. Suzuki 50 with 1 gear got our kids going. 9yo now on a crf 125. Blanket ban on quads. Boys love the bikes but considering a sxs for my girls who don’t.

@clintwfischer @ajackag13 Those differences sound insurmountable if they keep trying to farm together. If possible I’d try to work out a way to split the businesses entirely and let each brother go their own way farming-wise. Dad could still have 50%, it’d just be in two different businesses.

Talked through my situation, foxes mainly, and ended up with an infiray RL42 and range finding monocular - FH35R. My .22 and .223 both now have picatinny rails and the thermal goes between both rifles.

@Nyscat If it’s only doubled I’d say you’re doing well. Our variable rate has gone from <2% to >5%. RBA rate is +3% since May 22 and you can guarantee our good friends at the banks will be passing all that on. I’d still say it wouldn’t hurt to shop around and keep them honest.

@Agrivetbusiness @CreightonAg @LambproHolbrook How old is your Holmes Sackett data? I benchmark with them and the 21-22 dataset reports beef labour efficiency is double that of prime lamb flocks and triple that of wool flocks. Roughly speaking 15000 DSE/LU vs 8000 vs 5200.

@Tedthekelpie @noreasonspec @samanthamaiden I didn’t read it that way. I read it as ~$1M in super and bank accounts plus they own their own home mortgage free. If that’s the case I reckon they could spend a few of their own bucks rather than receiving the pension.

Too many aren’t technically excellent but lacking economic skills. Gun farmers are also an excellent source of knowledge.

@andrew_whitlock Got a Honda 1000 but full windscreen and rear screen. Rear screen has a window that opens which helps with dust. Half doors. Good kit but hot in summer. Was going to get a stereo but a round bluetooth speaker sits nicely in a cup holder instead.
