@MiniRetireMatt With no mortgage and no debt - the biggest expenses would be healthcare and property taxes (presuming owning), and kids - if applicable… I’d probably want a 3% at 50 and a bigger nest egg cushion but seems the answer is just what discretionary spend needs are.
I had the seats on the visiting tunnel exit rail in Oakland for many years and got to many players over the years there and at other parks over the years. I think guys who went to good schools were more ingrained in the mindset to use all their advantages to network.
2017 with the Nats - recall you engaged all the people in and out.
@PavlovicNBCS It seems late to not have any players reassigned to the minor league camp with MiLB ST games starting today. Perhaps due to all the injuries or a new philosophy from the new staff to keep players in MLB camp longer? Or perhaps they’re being secretive and not announcing.
@vinceschmidt9@MBDChicago@Cubs@MLB Which facilities? I believe Mesa Hohokam, Maryvale and Tempe Diablo have size limits on lenses - 6” (8” at Maryvale). I tend to stay on the East side so sounds like the West side is more of an issue?
@MBDChicago @ag10899 @Cubs That’s one I’ve heard also - someone at a team gets in their head that fan photos are money makers. Other reasons - longer lenses and shutter clicks causing complaints from other fans… a couple also noted creepy issues - people taking photos of younger fans and female athletes.
@MBDChicago@Cubs Also - the new mirrorless lenses for Canons have been smaller/more inconspicuous so didn’t have issues in Atlanta, Cinci, Sac, Tampa, etc. while my prior dslr/mirrored lenses likely would not have been allowed.
@MBDChicago@Cubs Thankfully the list of stadiums where you can take cameras in are a lot longer than not. Many have across MiLB have gone with a 5/6” rule though a couple in MiLB now have 3” rules. I’ve never had anyone split hairs on pre/post extended.
@Grant_Marek I almost looked forward to night games at Memorial in order to be able to get to BL when it opened and see how many quarts I could get through. Go Beers!
@KingofJUCO Actually looks like that was Asheville in ‘14. One of Kyle Freeland’s first games.
Ray Black closed it out for Augusta - one of the livest arms I’ve ever seen.
@piltz_piltza@WillClark22 I recall a renovation in the early 00s - likely changes on concourse/views. The Polo Grounds light towers are still there in the current iteration of the park for ASU, I believe.
